Just 2 barrels of this were made, from very old vines, and we are delighted to offer it for the first time. Les Lavrottes lies across the Route des Grands Crus, downhill from Bonnes-Mares. Rich purple in colour, with restrained yet ripe aromas, this shows abundant, bright fruitiness, fine balance between acidity and tannin, with refreshing aftertaste (for drinking 2024-2030+).

Maison Laroze de Drouhin
Laroze de Drouhin is the négociant arm of the prestigious Domaine Drouhin-Laroze of Gevrey-Chambertin. It was set up in 2008 by Caroline Drouhin and has enabled the family to supplement their supply of grapes, increasing their range of wines and appellations. As Caroline explains. “We do not own these plots, but manage and work the vineyards with the owners, hand-harvesting ourselves, and making the wines with the same attention to detail that we bring to the wines of our own Domaine”. Caroline and her brother Nicolas – head winemaker – have found it fascinating to work with new terroirs. These three wines are great value, and delightful.
