Two-thirds of this vineyard is planted with very old vines (aged 60 years or more), the balance with vines aged 35+. This is once again the most richly structured wine in the Clair cellar. The wine is ageing in small barrels, of which less than 15% were new. Colour is impressively deep, aromas are ripe and roasted, palate is richly structured, densely fruity and complex, with wrap-around tannins and excellent length (for drinking 2026-2035+).
