- User Data: This includes data on how you use this website, data that you provide to set up an account (eg. user name, email address, password*). This enables you to maintain a private record of your active and completed orders.
- Technical Data: This includes data on how you use this website so that we may ascertain areas for improvement, measure performance and server resource usage. In addition, we use Google Analytics to monitor popularity of content so that we can tailor future content and offers to the interests of customers. Information collected includes browser type, pages viewed, navigation path through the website, length of time on a page, as well as IP addresses (this is not stored alongside personally identifiable information eg. name, email, physical addresses) to monitor website/server usage statistics, security purposes and abuse.

Our primary channels are: email offers, postal offers, and telephone conversations. Any payment information you provide us (eg. credit card details) is destroyed upon use of that data in relation to the order for which it was provided. We do not store payment information beyond the method used for a transaction.
Our use of Data

- For purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998, Bacchus Wine Co. (Kensington) Ltd trading as Haynes Hanson & Clark is the “data controller”.
- We will retain any Data you submit for as long as required to service your account. Should you cease being our customer, data is to be stored, whether digitally or physically, for 6 years, measured from the end of the financial year of last transaction/contact (eg. sale, communication, delivery of goods). Records will be permanently deleted from the database including, but not limited to, name/address/email addresses/telephone numbers. If data cannot be deleted (eg order data that is tied to transaction data required for accounting) it will be overwritten with generic information to remove any personally identifiable data. Physical data (eg paper-based records) is archived in a secure warehouse on site. Disposal of physical records is performed by shredding to a minimum of DIN 66399 Security Level 3 devices.
- Unless we are obliged or permitted by law to do so, and subject to any third party disclosures specifically set out in this policy, your Data will not be disclosed to third parties. This includes our affiliates and / or other companies within our group.
- All personal Data is stored securely in accordance with the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998. For more details on security see the clause below (Security).
- Any or all of the above Data may be required by us from time to time in order to provide you with the best possible service and experience when using our Website. Specifically, Data may be used by us for the following reasons:
