2018 Brunello di Montalcino, Etichetta Bianca, Casanova di Neri

Casanova di Neri was founded in 1971 by Giovanni Neri. The property currently consists of 500 hectares, of which 156 are dedicated to Sangiovese vines, and the rest left as woodland, olive groves and arable land. Producing wines that have refinement and finesse alongside richness is key to the property`s ethos. 2018 marks the 40th anniversary of the creation of this cuvée of Brunello, where the focus is on displaying Sangiovese`s elegance and precision. It aged for 42 months in large wooden casks, giving a wine that has glorious detail and richness with grace. Pale garnet-ruby in the glass, aromas are intense, with notes of red cherry and nutmeg, with a scented, floral tone. Palate is full, rounded and rich, having very fine structure, and a fresh, harmonious, long-flavoured finish.
