Artadi makes stunning single vineyard wines in La Rioja, championing the unique characteristics of the Tempranillo grape grown in individual plots. Valdeginés is an east-facing site in the village of Laguardia, where vines average 30 years in age. There is a high chalk content in the soils here, giving a wine that has delicacy with vibrancy. Aromas are beautiful and clear, recalling black berries and herbal spiciness. Palate is full, supple and svelte, having focussed fruitiness, fluid mouthfeel and a silkily textured, elegant finish.
