2019 Château Magnan La Gaffelière, Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Château Magnan La Gaffelière is the sister property of Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé Clos La Madeleine, enjoying the same attentive approach in the vineyard and cellar. The terroir combines veins of clay with sandier foothill parcels, producing a wine that has delicacy, fragrance and generosity. This 2019 is at a beautiful stage of maturity, displaying primary fruit character alongside savoury, spicy tones. Medium-deep ruby-purple, aromas are attractive and perfumed, with notes of fresh red berries with spicy smokiness. Palate is full bodied, having a rich core, silky texture and a fine, well-balanced, long length.
