2020 Château Pibran, Pauillac

We regularly offer this less-known property, that is owned and produced by the Pichon Baron team. The vines lie on hillocks neighbouring Châteaux d’Armailhac and Pontet-Canet. 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon make up the blend here in 2020. Good purple on the eye, the aromas are abundantly ripe, offering rich black fruits, with a pleasing bright character. Palate is clean and intense, with plush fruit and bags of charm. There is a good structure in place, harmonious tannins and purity to finish. A very fine under-the-radar Pauillac (for drinking 2026–2034+).
