2020 Dominus, Yountville, Napa Valley

Christian Moueix chose the name Dominus (‘Lord of the Estate’ in Latin) to underscore his longstanding commitment to producing exceptional, age-worthy wine from this special plot of land. Rooted in values of quality, tradition and innovation, Dominus is a distinctive, complex, seamlessly balanced wine, in 2020 being a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon with 5% Cabernet Franc. It aged for 18 months in 40% new French oak barrels.

Intense ruby colour, aromas show beautiful luminosity of black fruits, with floral, liquorice and dark chocolate nuances. This is a wine of impressive stuffing and power, having very fine texture, rich concentration and excellent freshness. The finish is gorgeously long (for drinking 2026–2040+).
