2022 Château La Mission, Lalande de Pomerol

Château La Mission’s jewel-sized vineyard (measuring just 2 hectares) lies on the south-western edge of the Lalande de Pomerol appellation, bordering Pomerol. Vine age averages 40 years, this 2022 being a blend of 75% Merlot with 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec. Here is a wine that is silky, full and attractive. Deep in colour, aromas are freshly spicy leading to a palate that has solid, pure fruitiness and a freshly tannic, harmonious finish (for drinking 2026-2032+).
