Alex Cady owns 2.2 hectares in Coteaux du Layon`s prestigeous Premier Cru Chaume vineyard, which he farms organically. This 2022 Chaume is 100% late harvest, noble rot affected Chenin Blanc, which was fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks, to capture the wine`s vibrant, expressive fruit. The result is a captivatingly sweet wine (140g/l residual sugar), where lusciousness and freshness are exquisitely balanced. Pale lemon-gold, aromas recall fresh mango, confit lemon and sweet apple. Palate is medium bodied, rounded and silky, having generous fruit tautly held in a precise frame. The finish is racy and long.
