2022 Givry Rouge 1er Cru Champ Lalot, Domaine Masse

As is regularly practiced at this Domaine, these Pinot Grapes were 100% de-stemmed, then held at low temperature for five days, prior to the start of fermentation, to encourage gentle extraction. This wine shows deep, purple-ruby colour with exuberance of fruit on the nose. The vines average 35 years of age, and have given a wine which – after ageing in one third new barrels – shows rich structure, solid fruitiness and splendid, fresh length (for drinking 2025-2029+).
