Hunting Hill is a windy site above Maté`s vineyard. Replanted in 2000, it classically gives taut, perfumed, mineral style of Chardonnay. Having fermented and matured for 11 months in french oak barrels (25% new), this 2022 is distinctively Hunting Hill. Very pale lemon-gold colour, aromas are are tight, flinty and intensely lemony. Palate is full and finely structured, having sleek, silky texture, racy acidity and a steely, mineral, persistent finish (for drinking 2023-2029+).
