2022 Le Temps Est Venu, Côtes du Rhône, Domaine Stéphane Ogier

Stéphane’s “Temps est Venu” consistently features in our duty paid list, and here we offer an early, en primeur release of his excellent 2022. It comes from two family-owned vineyards: one in Plan de Dieu, bringing power and richness, one at higher altitude in Visan, contributing freshness and structure. “Here, I want to make a Côtes du Rhône that is a bit serious. But I also want something fresh, that has easy charm,” Stéphane told us. 60% Grenache with 40% Syrah, colour is deep, aromas being lifted and intense. Full bodied, there is good roundness to the palate, having lovely depth of spiced raspberry and bramble fruits, fine tannins and a clean finish (for drinking 2024-2026+).
