Pinot Noir is known as Pinot Nero and Blauburgunder in the Alto Adige, this being an expression that is transparent both of the grape and its mountain origins. This 2023 has a glistening, pale ruby-purple colour, aromas being perfumed and pure, recalling fresh, ripe, red berries. Palate has beautiful energy, intensity and juiciness. Medium bodied, there is excellent depth, an attractive, rounded texture, leading to a long-flavoured, bright finish.

Kellerei Kurtatsch
Kurtatsch is a beautiful village in the Alto Adige, where the vines are grown up to 900m, in spectacular karst landscape. The terrain is steep and dramatic, with a diverse range of soils, geology and microclimates. Kellerei Kurtatsch is one of Alto Adige’s smallest and oldest co-operative wineries, founded in 1900. They look after 190 hectares of vines, working with 190 growers. “We like terroir; we don’t like too much oak. These are elegant mountain wines,” says winemaker Othmar Doná. The fresh, pure, precise style of the Kurtatsch whites and reds have made them solid HH&C listings.
