Tinhof`s wonderfully pretty, pale rosé is made from 100% Blaufränkisch, giving a light bodied, characterful, bright wine. The delicately floral, red berry aromas lead to a fine-boned, slate-dry palate, the finish being refreshing and zippy.

Weingut Erwin Tinhof
Erwin Tinhof is the 11th generation of his family to be tending vines and making wine in Eisenstadt on Leithaberg, 40km southeast of Vienna,in Austria`s Burgenland region. Erwin`s focus is on producing characterful, pure wines, most importantly from the region`s indigenous grape varieties. Neuburger, Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc), Blaufränkisch, and Sankt Laurent. The region`s Pannonian climate, moderated by Lake Neusiedl, gives warm dry summers and cold, dry winters. This, combined with the unique calcareous soils of the Leithaberg and organic agriculture (certified since 2012), gives optimal conditions to produce complex, mineral, highly structured whites, reds and rosés. Nurtured sympathetically, these wines express their origin clearly.
