Wine Reviews
2015 Château La Rocaille, Graves Rouge
Made from a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and boasting some mightily accurate Graves structure and poise, this is a full, spicy, vibrant wine with genuinely refreshing tannins and classic 2015 swagger. You can decant it and drink it now in order to realise its class but, ideally, I would exercise some restraint and give it six months. I have no doubt it will mature nicely for a further three or four years, too, so you can see that this is a must-buy wine. Don’t let people tell you that delicious claret costs a bomb. This is a genuinely engaging wine with gloss and intellect and it could not come from anywhere else in the world!
