Located in the village of Vauxrenard, up in the hills above Juliénas, we first met Jean-Yves Perraud of Domaine de Forétal two years ago, his Juliénas and Moulin-à-Vent quickly catching our attention. Respect for the environment is key at this 9-hectare Domaine, where Jean-Yves creates wines which have startling purity and brightness. His wines reflect the vines’ hillside locations and his sensitive work in vines and cellar.
