Jean-Philippe Agisson`s tiny Domaine lies in the hamlet of La Vallée, close to Sury-en-Vaux, in the upper section of the Loire Valley. Jean-Philippe has built a reputation as one of the region’s most brilliant winemakers, with a particular flare for exceptional Sauvignon Blanc. He was for many years Head Winemaker at Domaine Alphonse Mellot in Sancerre, and moved to take on the same role at Domaine Didier Dagueneau in 2018. He created his own Domaine in 2016, starting with just 0.4 hectares of organically cultivated vines. This has now increased to 2.5 hectares, but he has no great ambitions of extending it much further, being keen to keep things manageable as a one-man band, whilst continuing his role at Dagueneau.

We are thrilled to be the sole UK importer of Jean-Philippe’s Pouilly-Fumé La Belle Endormie, and offer, below, the 2022 vintage, En Primeur.
