Manon and Pierre-Antoine Guérin of the Domaine Saint Antoine des Echards have selected a number of small plots from their larger family domaine for separate vinification, tending and bottling. Parts of the Maranges vineyard have been classified as 1st Growth since 1989. The hillside lies adjoining Santenay, to its south-west. It is a little-known – but now valuable – source of excellent red Burgundy, and very fairly priced.
