With wine studies in Burgundy under his belt, Anthony Vallet started work at the family`s northern Rhône Domaine in 1998, 8 years after his father, Louis, had shifted focus from polyculture with some vineyards to one entirely dedicated to vines. Anthony exudes enthusiasm and energy for his work, seeing life and winemaking as an adventure. He farms 11.5 hectares on the granite slopes surrounding the riverside town of Serrières, at the middle-point of the Saint-Joseph appellation, to the south of Condrieu. Vibrancy is a key feature of his wines, which offer great drinking for the short, mid and longer term.
